Bismillah! My name is Feras, and I lead an Islamic faith-inspired cycling club based in Austin, Texas, called the Lonestar Peace Riders. We are riding for the benefit and freedom of our Global Ummah .

Our mission is rooted in three core principles:
1. Solidarity: We stand in unwavering solidarity with our brothers and sisters across the world, whether in Palestine, East Turkistan (Uyghurs), Syria, Yemen, Sudan, Rohingya, Kashmir, or any place where our ummah faces hardship and injustice. With every ride, we raise awareness by flying flags, displaying symbols of resilience to ensure their struggles are not forgotten.
2. Unity: Our rides unite communities as we ride through them. We often ride Masjid to Masjid, launching from local houses of worship, community centers, and other gathering spaces. Our movement is open to all—Muslims and non-Muslims alike—who recognize the struggles of the people and wish to stand for justice. We also love to engage local businesses, influencers, and community leaders to amplify the cause.
3. Raising Funds & Awareness: We call on our riders, supporters, and masajid to donate and contribute to causes supporting our global ummah through the links on this website via Islamic Relief USA (IRUSA), a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
These funds provide urgent humanitarian aid to those in crisis. Alhamdulillah, our cycling club has been riding for causes affecting the global Muslim ummah for years. Whether for humanitarian relief, disaster response, or advocating for justice, we collaborate with both Muslim and non-Muslim cycling groups who are willing to ride for these causes.
Over the past year and a half we have raised over $50,000 for the benefit of our Palestinian people who are living under the ongoing conflict and a constant threat of violence. This mission is bigger than us. It is not limited to Austin, Texas, or even the United States.
We invite cyclists, activists, and supporters around the world to take up this cause. Ride in your cities. Organize in your communities. Keep the struggles of our ummah alive in your hearts and actions.
